I'm not complaining, I'm just explaining why this should be part of the server and answering questions that people are asking/solving possible questions.
Thanks for the suggestion. This is a pretty tricky one. I'm fairly certain the majority of players prefer permanent daylight simply because it's hard to see what you're building when it's night. While we could enable a daylight cycle, it would result in the average player having to jump through extra hoops to be able to play. In this case, being required to find and run a command to halt the daylight cycle.
It is possible to have a separate (client-side) daylight cycle on a single plot. As you already mentioned, daylight sensors won't work in this scenario.
By the way, I do appreciate that you're discussing potential side-effects and their solutions. It makes it easier for me if/when the time comes to implement the suggestion. :)
This is amazing, I wish the daylight sensors would work though--not that I even use them anyways. Thanks to you Pat as well from me.
