It would be great if there was a sign where you pay a certain amount of in-game money to repair an item.

Thanks for your suggestion. I personally don't want to remove too much of the vanilla experience and think that we should stick to anvils instead. If a lot of players want this, we'll consider adding it after the survival world has been changed.
