I have been repeatedly kicked off the server when riding around in a boat. The message that shows says that I am being kicked for Flying. Boating is allowed, right? (is it too much like flying?) I think I may have been locked out completely as I'm unable to reconnect (Server response code 504).

I've been in a boat for a couple of minutes now and I can't reproduce this bug. Are you still getting kicked when you're in a boat? Judging from the 504 error it might just have been temporary server lag that caused this.

I could have been going too fast.... I do like speed :) I did get back on later and went much more slowly, which was working ok, but then my computer overheated and shut down. Bottom line about boating is that it seems to be very CPU intensive; trying to keep up with the chunk rendering. I'll set my render distance shorter (I think it was on far) to see if that helps too. It is only happening after extended time on open water with constant movement (W depressed without interruption) which I imagine would "look" like flying. Perhaps the flying police code could check for a boat?

I'm not sure if it's Bukkit itself or NoCheatPlus that is kicking you. I can try to fix this if you paste the kick message. :)

Pat, this isnt a temp-bug. I have used boats for almost 1 milion blocks, and I got kicked for flying when the serverclient thought I was hitting the shore (after traveling about 900.000 blocks). I dont know if this was Lee's problem, but my player- and serverclient interfear with eachother every once in a while.
