In another episode of Jack Doesn't Want to Write His Thesis, I was building an elytra course. To make it easy to go back to the last checkpoint, the player has to be in creative. This makes the course much less challenging when impact damage doesn't matter. Not sure who is willing to fufill these suggestions anymore, but I think there should be a way to set a player's spawnpoint when they die. I was thinking this can be implemented by adding /setspawn as a command block command. This would need to only apply when the player dies in a certain plot to prevent annoyances. This would also be useful in minigames and PvP plots so the player doesn't arrive back at spawn constantly.
Another thing, when I first suggested command blocks, I listed /kill as a possible command. This would be especially useful now for when the player doesn't die when missing a landing. The player would press a button and the command block would kill the nearest player.
With the servers current state, I'm not expecting these to be added, but I thought I'd try.
