it just seems annoying having to switch from 1.9 to 1.8 just to join the server 

so yeah. When will the server update. no rush, just wondering.

Frankly, I don't see the need to update. You may be annoyed at having to switch from 1.9 to 1.8, but I always use 1.8. Think of how annoying it would be for me and others to have switch from 1.8 to 1.9. Plus, I don't see an appeal to playing 1.9 over 1.8. It has some extra items, but the PvP update was shotty and I can name a list of people who would not like an update. Survival and Creative are 'perfect' as they are without 1.9. 

In short, the server doesn't 'need' an update. Just because you're feeling annoyed that you have to switch your minecraft version doesn't mean the server has to downgrade its quality just to update. If it's really that big of a problem, download MultiMC. The update itself isn't very good and a lot of people woud be annoyed if it was instilled into the server.

Ah okay. some servers are working with both 1.9 and 1.8 so i don't think i have to switch anymore. and yes, the update IS shitty

The Update will come when the update comes. I bet Pat is super busy delivering mail all day and night. So he'll do it when he feel he should

Because of the new combat mechanics and left arm, I dont think having 1.9 players join 1.8 would be very easy to do

To be honest i would want sney to fix alot of the glitches and bugs first then update

For example when you open a door and try to close it wont close unless you close it on the side of the door. and carpet wont break unless you hit the small side of it. Theres alot a bugs that should be fixed before sney is updated to 1.9

I've never heard of these glitches before. Which version of Minecraft are you using?
