Ok, so today I was using a 3D pack, when it occured to me the last time I used it was on my old laptop, which I ran into huge lag problems, especially on survival. I know there is probaly no way to combat this, as I am aware of the anti-xray plugin on survival, but I thought I may as well address the issue regardless.

Well if you can find anything for this that would be helpful, as my current laptop, which has more than enough capability is struggling with the 3D ores being generated to prevent xray. I am more than happy to turn the pack off, but I'd rather be able to use the pack freely.

Could you link me to the pack? Let me see if I can run it smoothly and I'll let you know if it's a hardware issue or if it's on our end.
