We have rules as everyone knows regarding nicknames. That being said it should be precautionary that it could potentionally apply (Actually it SHOULD apply) to usernames too.

Mojang's filter system can be bypassed in so many ways simply because you add _ or numbers or letters beside it to mask it, if Mojang were to somehow spot this they would change your name manually. 

That being said; I will not accept any names that break the guidlines of nicknames which are not limited to:

• Swearing
• Vulgarity
• Racism
• Offence to a ethnic group, religion, sexual prefrence, or gender
• Any of the above and anything else offensive that I forgot

So. I should've posted this before taking action, but a player has been banned for the offence until they contact me via forums or something else.

So, if a player changes his/her name to something not offensive, would the player be unbanned?

yes.

We've just added a username filter to make this easier. If a player joins with a bad username, we'll filter that username so that they can't re-join until they have changed it to something else.

Hi i just changed my name from neoisspic to Neoisspic and it wont let me join it says: it cant conect to minecraft. net. Could you tell me why it does this. Is it a time limit of 24 hours until i can join a server again?

There shouldn't be any time limit. Did you restart the client after you changed your name?
