Post-Farming?
Posted 10 years ago Well, recently, I have been seeing MANY useless posts from people I will not mention, however they should know who they are. I think there should be a rule about 'Post Farming' on the forums. Post farming is when a player attempts to try and earn as many posts as possible (If they're counted which they are) to have the most posts on the forums (Or at least a lot). I have seen a rule like this on many forums, and now the forums are controlled. It really irritates me when people 'Post-Farm'. I think when someone is 'Post-Farming', it should be classed as useless posts which have nothing to do with the topic whatsoever, or 1-3 Word answers/Posts that are not needed. |
Posted 10 years ago I already delete any off-topic posts that I encounter in 'Player Reports', 'Ban Appeals', 'Support' or 'Suggestion Box'. The other forum categories don't need to be as strict in my opinion. 2 likes |
Posted 10 years ago Okay. Well, instead of there being a rule. You could either do one of two things. A) You could maybe remove the post-count. B) You could maybe make an off-topic area where posts aren't counted and where people can go wild with their posts. |

Posted 10 years ago There is already chaos. That's why I'm suggesting an area where there IS Chaos allowed, people don't have to go in there if that is against there wish. |
Posted 10 years ago So....you're suggesting a place where people have no rules to govern them. There's a huge list of things this can cause. 1) Advertising 2) Swearing 3) Innapropriate behavior. Things like that could ruin the server's reputation, you know. 2 likes |
Posted 10 years ago Ah, there's where there will be simple rules. Anyway, I wasn't planning of having it JUST as I stated. I forgot about that. So, yes, there will be rules. Also, I'm sure Pat isn't 'stupid' enough to let the server reputation be ruined. So, if he were to use this, he would put rules in where you can't 'advertise' or use 'inapropriate behaviour'. Also, stop using bold. It's quite irritating and hurts my eyes, really. At least use bold for things that are NEEDED In bold, not just for the sake of it. Afterall, that's what is was made for. |
Posted 10 years ago Sorry |
Posted 10 years ago Colours! ( I am not able to spell it out in colours on iPad for some reason) Anyway, having a chat function on the website would also solve this problem. But, doesn't the General discussion already do what you're saying? In General discussion, you can post whatever you want as long as it follows the rules. And people can choose not to view the topic if they want, And yes, please don't use bold for everything. Tell your sis that too. |
