AAAAH NEW MINIGAME THINGY

 

I'd think the main reason everyone groups up down the hall is because there's no exact limit. The limit from what i've seen is at most, three. Although the screenshots in game show that Foxy and Bonnie and Foxy and Mangle are the only two combinations, there have been times in which all three (Foxy, Bonnie, and Mangle) were down the same hall at the same time. There should be a limit however, perhaps 3 per segment of the main hall. There should be two segments, first segment begins from the doorway of the Main Hall to the block before the second set of party rooms closest to the office. The second segment begins from the second set of party rooms and on. That should allow others to hide in the party rooms or get to the vents. 

Also, There's a sliiiight issue with the whole flashlight thing. The animatronics should actually be seen whether or not the flashlight is on when they're in the office. In other words, during the countdown, you should be able to see them to know exactly when to put the mask on. There's six different times this happens. It'd make it easier for the player to put on the mask, we don't want to make the game impossible when people are charging yo.

Finally, We need to fix the way the camera moves when lights are turned on and thus flashed. That's REALLY nauseating, even for those who don't have motion sickness. We want to make the game fun, not sickening. 

At least, that's my input ;w; also Mangle's head is kinda wrong in the minigame, just sayin.

Thanks for all the input, I'm really glad so many of you came to test it! :)

@Badass_Danny Camping animatronics is definitely an issue. I like the solution that Sodapop suggested above me, so I'll probably go with that. As for jumping animatronics, it's possible to disable jumping for animatronics using a potion effect. I'll add that unless anyone disagrees.

@_Clockwork Yeah, that's a big issue. I'll remove the limit in the main hall, split up the office corridor and put the limits there instead as Sodapop suggested. The puppet not despawning happened because I manually spawned a puppet and forgot to remove it, haha. The issue with animatronics attacking in groups should be solved by setting limits in the corridor.

@Sodapop As I mentioned above, I'll do as you suggested with the different corridor segments. Making animatronics visible during the countdown is a good solution to the issue where animatronics camped just outside the edge. I'll go ahead and add that to the game. As for the weird camera zooming caused by the flashlight, this is the way the client behaves when a player's walk speed is changed. One way to fix this is to not change the walk speed, and instead just prevent movement. In other terms, if you try to move you'll get teleported back to where you were before, just like when you try to enter a plot that you are denied from. As for Mangle's head, do you think any of the other Mangle heads on this page is a better match?

I'll start working on these changes during the week. Let me know if you encounter more issues or come up with more improvements! :)

Ah, that's great! I'd think the third head would do nicely since it fits with the theme the toy animatronics have, the whole roundness thing and all that jazz.

The whole and simple 'stop' should get the point across easily, although it would make the game much shorter if everyone could walk through all of the halls. Maybe we can try implementing that feature on just the main hall? I'm not certain how this stuff works so sorry if i'm making silly suggestions ;w;

As for any bug errors, besides the whole thing with the vent, everything's pretty chill. I dont think there's any more errors to fix besides that whole 'spectator' thing that some players seem to do. Although there is the issue with the doors, Those who get on the map in GM 1/creative can flip the doors as they please, so someone can easily alter the game's areas and where they hide. But that's all of the issues we could find :V

In the new fnaf beta world, people are starting to claim the plots, obviously not belonging to them. Are they allowed to be doing this?

Oh. We found a very quick error with Foxy. Foxy can apparently be teleported back to Parts and Service with the flashing of any lights, despite him not being down the hallway. In other words, if Foxy is so much as flashed anywhere (Say, in the party rooms or main hall), he gets ported back, despite the other players staying back. (Then again, Foxy isn't neccessarily meant to appear anywhere else besides parts and service and the hallway corridor). So is this meant to happen?

Also, a lot of people appear to be complaining about the whole tutorial thing. Maybe we could try condensing into the chat or putting up instructions in the lobby, so when you do /fnaf join you get ported into the lobby and there's a series of signs that give out instructions. So those who don't know can read, and those who already know can bounce around and sit at the tables or somethin.

Hey. Um I don't know if anyone knows about this or not already, but when we were testing out the game we think the vents allowed certain characters part of the way through, some further than others(?), anyway we tested this, and when the animatronic is in the vent, it will say an animatronic has entered the office even when they've only just entered the vent. I don't know if this is supposed to happen but it didn't seem right, it usually ends the game is well as the guard would in a way be unaware.

Also, could you add something that allows quick switching between cameras?

I find it tedious to have to leave the camera and then push the button again.

 

P.S. The Rachel Plague has been spreading across Sneyersul. I has been infected. It's Airborne. It doesn't kill you though. But, it turns you into a Rachel. My Scientists are working on a cure as I type this. I will distribute it once its complete. Try not to get infected. Its a bit like a Zombie Apocalypse. Any contact at all with an infected person would infect you as well.

@Sodapop Alright, I'll change the skin to that one. I'll also make it so that Foxy only gets teleported back to the parts and service room if he's blinked on in the lower corridor or one of the vents. I made a small mistake when disabling player interactions which led to players being able to open and close doors if their hand was empty. This should be fixed in the next version. The next version will also only teleport Foxy back to spawn if he's blinked on in the lower office corridor or one of the air vents. For the tutorial, I'll look into a few different alternatives. 

@_Clockwork My mistake, I've set a world border now so that players can't leave the spawn. :)

@xFishCakes That's a strange bug. It might be related to NoCheatPlus thinking that the player is flying while in the vents. I'll have to investigate it a bit in order to find a fix for it. Edit: Nevermind, this turned out to be the music box going down to 0% and the marionette entering the office. I've changed the messages now so that it says the name of the animatronic that entered the office.

@Springwork That would be a nice feature, but I'm not sure how to do it in a user friendly way. Most buttons are already used for other things (Q for flashlight, shift to teleport back to the office). I guess one way would be to scroll up or down to go between the cameras, but I imagine it would lag immensely if the guard scrolled quickly while the flashlight is on since the flashlight is transferred between the rooms. We'll just have to test it and see how it works!

We could use a command. Perhaos we could make use of the bar at the bottom in spectator mode. Couldn't you use another button like c?

Can we have Bonnie's and Chica's heads from fnaf2? The ones where Bonnie is missing his face and Chica's Jaw is broken? (I'm ok with Chica's current one but I think Bonnie should have the no face one)
