I cant escape from a portal I went accidentaly went into and I really ask that the portal block be banned or removed.

what plot did this happen on Caleb? 

Im not sure but when somewon gets a chance I want to have the portal block removed from the creative server, its my favorite server to play on so I please ask for it to be remove so I can be free from it.

I really enjoy using the Portal block for builds, I'm sure theres just a way to unplug the 'going threw it' effect for the server, and if I'm right, isn't all Portal blocks the 'going threw' part disabled?

The portal blocks that go to 'the end' don't have any effects and are pretty much harmless. Nether portals, however, make the screen wiggle and disables chat so a player can't teleport out of it and essentially gets locked in.

Mr_snoodleypie's solution would be perfect, but the portal effects are sadly controlled client-side and cannot be cancelled by the server.

I think I'll have to disable nether portals entirely since this isn't the first time someone has been trapped in one.
