People joke about and say 'aw thats so gay' or sometimes 'you look like a lesbian'

• It is taken for granted by staff
• It causes high offence to alot of people including me
• It isn't fair to say such things about beautiful people
• It is out of hand!

​I would like staff to take more time to notice what is being said in chat and it is so cruel. No one understands and you can't make them see, half of them are the younger generations making smartass comments about utter crap. For instance

1. ​"*gay growling*"~GhostsCantDie
2. Repulsive smartass comments from Minetbonecraft, "You gay faggot" ect
3. "I can't see how that causes offence"~Johnny_gat after minet had said a very insulting thing

PLEASE could staff start to take notice in these cruel and horrid insults because at the moment they are just slipping like soap in wet hands.

Murch, we all know that. But making smartass comments using the word "gay" could literally offend someone man.

I'm sure a lot of people will appreciate this post Bella. :)

Since I had no chance to really defend myself on minecraft due to Bellaroonie being very unopened about my defense, I shall do it here. I'm going to pick apart the examples she gave.

1. I said "gay growling", yes. But I did not mean it in an offensive fashion to be like "oh that's so gay" or "you're gay", I said it in a form of roleplay format without the /me command, using astericks, and YES. I am indeed gay. Therefore it was a joke. A joke. A joke. That went wrong.

2. Minetbonecraft NEVER said that, and you can check the logs. He never said that at any point during the argument, and never during the time on Sneyersul.

3. It may have been the fact that I had johhny_gat ignored, but I never recall him being in this conversation. If you check the logs again, Momo, you can see that I said "how is that offensive"

And may I please remind everyone that "gay" is not an insult, as in the word 'gay', rather the proper term to use for homosexuality. In my opinion: Gay is not an insult unless it is used in the "that is so gay" format or used in such a way that it is an insult. The main reason i'm saying this is cause of the fact that people think "Gay" is the triggering word. It's not, but rather it's context. If you say that "Gay" is offensive, then that means me saying "I am gay" is offensive. Catch my drift? I don't know how to word it properly, but I hope you get my gist. Gay is a word that is used to describe homosexuality without using homosexual. Now, what terms ARE offensive to people who are homosexual, are the following: Faggot and Queer. Because they are SLURS used against people whom are gay.

I hope that you see my side of the story much more clearer. Because the chat logs surely do not provide enough evidence of my side. 

Now, if I may be told that using "gay" in any context is bad, then perhaps I shall never make those comments again. Forgive me for making a joke, and I shall refrain from making any more.

And yes, I do support the idea of people not using "gay" as an insult, although I would perfer her use OTHER examples rather than something she found offensive. Such as two days ago when someone said another plot "looked gay".

Hello, Minet here, I just wanted to clear the fact that I have never once made fun on anyone on the server or called them 'gay', I treat gays, bis, heteros, all the same, because I am bi and I know what its like to me made fun of, and I don't want other people to suffer that.

Just earlier this year when I had come out to my family and friends, I lost many of my friends respect, along with some of my extended family. Often walking throught the hallways at school was a hassle, being called names such as "fag" or "Gay boy." I thought about taking my life many times, but in the end i stayed strong.

So i hope you understand why I would never make fun of someone due to their sexual prefrence, because i know the pain, I understand them
