The way it would work is to either, like Kyle said, use a Party Chat Plugin.

Another way would have an entire channel for just Roleplay, which would still be chaos.

Party chat is the way to go. Other servers I have played on have Party chat and the amount of rp chat is very low. There will always still be some no matter what you do to try to reduce it, but Party Chat would make a huge difference.

I don't particularly like this idea. As Jack said, it would overcomplicate things. I wouldn't want to have to add so many people to my party chat.

I really am getting tired of all the RPs. The /me spam really is extremely annoying to me. Besides, are people really too lazy to use a command to add people to a party chat? Really people? You can't use a couple of commands to keep the main chat from being spammed? I just can't even. It's not that complicated. And maybe a temp-mute if you RP in the main chat? That might be a little too harsh, but people probably wouldn't use the Party Chat plugin otherwise.
